Tikes and Tots is a licensed home childcare located in San Lorenzo, California off Hesperian Blvd.
We are conveniently located right next to highways 880, 238, and less than 2 miles from Bart. Our facility is
minutes from Union City, Hayward, San Leandro, and Castro Valley.

At Tikes and Tots our vision is to promote the healthy growth and development of children and provide high quality, developmentally appropriate care. We strive to provide the children with a safe learning environment that will encourage creativity, and inspire a love for learning. We believe in a “hands on” learning approach and encourage each child to develop their critical thinking and cognitive skills in figuring out solutions to everyday problems. We encourage a positive view of ones self and of others so the children may learn to appreciate and celebrate the differences in other people. Our desire is that the children develop good character, will be life long learners, to develop confidence and self-esteem so they may realize their true potential and never be afraid to try new things.

What We Offer:
We offer full time, part time, and drop in care for children 2 to 5 years old. We take children who are potty trained and just learning to be potty trained.
Drop in care is also available for children up to the age of 10 years old. I have more than 8 years of experience with older children as well. All licensing forms must be filled out along with current immunizations even for drop in care. All forms can be downloaded from website.
The Childcare program is designed to help develop a child's social, cognitive, academic, physical and emotional skills. Our facility offers plenty of indoor and outdoor space to learn and play as well as a safe, warm and peaceful environment. Nutritional hot meals and snacks are provided. Staff is certified in infant/child CPR and First Aid, also health and safety training.

4:15-5:00 Indoor free play/ Ready To Go Home
We will focus on two letters two numbers and different shapes every month. We will have special book selection every week for developing good character and making good choices. One special craft project each week besides daily coloring and art.

Experience:
I have a wealth of experience working with children. I began working with children when I was very young being the oldest of four children I learned responsibility at an early age. I provided summer care for children for many years and I have had the pleasure of working with preschool children mostly with a focus on learning through art. I learned this technique through the education I received at San Jose State University and California State University East Bay.
Over the years I have worked with infants to 12th graders, but toddlers have always had a special place in my heart. I have always been active with the children in my community and I started a children’s performing arts program at my church with as many as 40 to 60 participants in musicals and plays. I always encourage the children to lead by example and treat themselves and other with respect and kindness. My childcare program is my dream now coming to life and I look forward to providing the children with the best of all that I have come to learn.
